FRESH TAKE · THE FILM EDITORIAL

Doraemon: Nobita's New Great Adventure Into the Underworld - The Seven Magic Users: big-screen confidence with genuinely human stakes.Bold, full-scale entertainment made for the big screen, with an energy that never leaves emotion behind. Doraemon: Nobita's New Great Adventure Into the Underworld - The Seven Magic Users combines the lucid staging of classical adventure cinema with the sensory impact of the contemporary blockbuster. Yukiyo Teramoto's signature gives it an immediately recognizable personality. The performances from Wasabi Mizuta & Megumi Oohara give the film presence, texture and emotional force. The counterpoint: measure spectacle less by scale than by whether it clarifies the human stakes.
