Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse: comedy with rhythm, character and heart. The source record reports an unfavorable critical reception.A comedy best met with an open mind: rhythm, performance and the pleasure of a shared audience take centre stage. Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse brings the ensemble precision of classic character comedy together with the immediate lift of a contemporary crowd-pleaser. Christopher B. Landon's signature gives it an immediately recognizable personality. The performances from Tye Sheridan & Logan Miller give the film presence, texture and emotional force. The counterpoint: look past the laugh count to how timing reveals power, tenderness and embarrassment.
