A pervasive flood of images and forms have become a substitute for something else, and they completely fill our world. A tide of media images pour in on us from every direction, overfilling our eyes and ears, rendering our real senses insensate, allowing no line of sight to the reality of life, leaving us powerless. Hussling and bustling, people just rush by it all, and in the flourish of today's consumer culture, just reach out and grab what they want for themselves.
